CtrlZone and Riot Games

CtrlZone is software for internet cafes and gaming centers. Two features use League of Legends data.

Game Goals

The cafe sets a goal, for example “win a match”, and a reward from its own menu, like a free tea. When your match ends, the CtrlZone client on the cafe PC reads the result from the game on that same computer. If you met the goal, you get a coupon on screen. You never pay for a goal and nothing appears while you play.

Tournaments

For cafe tournaments, CtrlZone can create the lobby code and receive the result when the match ends, so staff do not type scores by hand. Staff still confirm every result.

What We Read

Your Riot ID, the game mode, your kills, assists and creep score, and whether you won. Bot matches and spectator mode are skipped.

What We Do Not Do

We do not look up other players, show ranks or MMR, or keep your match history. The data stays on the cafe’s own server and is not shared.

Paid Tournaments

If a cafe charges an entry fee for a League of Legends tournament, at least 70% of the fees must go to prizes. CtrlZone will not save the tournament otherwise.
